Safeway Fuel Station Open for Business at Ho’okele Shopping Center

New Ho’okele Safeway Fuel Station

The first Safeway Fuel Station on Maui opened up for business quietly last week Friday, selling unleaded gasoline for $3.19 a gallon.

The Costco gas station near Kahului Airport is selling its unleaded gas for a penny cheaper per gallon at $3.18. However Safeway states on their website that customers can earn “Gas Rewards to save up to $1.00 per gallon, up to 25 gallons” depending on how much points they earn on their Safeway Club Card.

The fuel station and Safeway store are the anchor tenants of the Ho’okele Shopping Center and open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Safeway officially closed down their old location near Ross Dress for Less and opened up their new Ho’okele location on July 24.
