Wailea Village, a new shopping center in South Maui that promises a “different” and “outdoor-focused” retail experience, is now the home of several locally owned stores.

Akamai Coffee, Mauiʻs first drive thru coffee shop, is one of the mallʻs newest tenants.

Shop owners Byron and Kimberly Brown have been serving their completely Maui-grown and roasted brew for over a decade.

Now, the pair plans to offer beer and wine in their expanded menu at the Wailea Village location in the coming year.

Renowned Maui artist Philip Sadabo is also one of the mallʻs new lessees.

In a press release, Wailea Village representatives described Sabadoʻs work as “historically accurate art that depicts his love for Hawaiʻi’s culture, nature, people, history and mythology.”

In addition to his paintings, Sabadoʻs new gallery features apparel inspired by his art.

Paper Garden and Koholā Gallery set up shop earlier this summer.
