Maui Police Collect 2,617 Pounds of Rice and Food During Holiday Drive

The Maui Police Department collected 2,617 pounds of rice and food as part of its holiday food drive, held in coordination with the Maui Food Bank.

The donations were raised as part of the department’s “Wall of Rice” donation drive, and will help families in need.

The department surpassed its 1,000 pound goal, more than doubling their projected collection.

Donations raised by pound included: 1,503 pounds at the Wailuku Station; 33 pounds from the Kīhei Station; and 1081 pounds at the Lahaina Station.
