Hāna Hwy Night Work Contraflow in Kahului Starts March 2

The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation advises Maui motorists of nightly closures of Hāna Highway (Route 36) in Kahului between Kaʻahumanu Avenue and Dairy Road beginning Monday, March 2, 2020.
One direction at a time of Hāna Highway will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Monday evening, March 2 and Saturday morning, March 7. The night work will involve pavement milling and resurfacing of Hāna Highway.
This is not a full road closure. The remaining open lanes will be contraflowed to allow single lane traffic in both directions.
All roadwork is weather permitting.
