The Maui Youth Rodeo Organizationʻs 5th Annual Spring Spectacular, which was originally scheduled for March 28, is now slated for Aug. 8 due to concerns over the spread of the coronavirus.

The full-day event will feature western inspired competition followed by an evening of live entertainment, Pulehu Steak Dinner, Live and Silent Auctions and Awards presentation.

Admission is free. A $25 pulehu steak dinner will be available, with entertainment and auctions to follow.

The Maui Youth Rodeo Organization is comprised of members ranging from 5 years of age through Seniors in local High Schools.

Proceeds raised will help members with travel allowances to both state and national high school rodeo competitions, senior scholarships to graduating members and educational opportunities through clinics.

All tickets bought for the March 28 event will be honored on Aug. 8.

“Hopefully the additional time will allow us the ability to make it greater than originally planned,” event organizer Maile Masada said.
