LIST: Maui Road Closures This Week
Here is a list of lane closures slated this week (May 16 to May 22) throughout Maui:
— HĀNA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 36/360) —
1) PĀʻIA
Lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 36) in the westbound direction between Lae Street and Kūʻau Beach Place on Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for sewer-line replacement.
2) HAʻIKŪ TO HĀNA (LOCAL ACCESS RESTRICTION)
Hāna Highway (Route 360) between Kapakalua Road and Hāna Town is restricted to local traffic until further notice beginning March 18, 2020. The local access restriction is being put in place to address access and congestion concerns due to roadwork and vehicles along the two-lane highway.
— HONOAPIʻILANI HIGHWAY BYPASS (ROUTE 30) —
1) LAHAINA
Right lane cloure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) in the southbound direction between Aholo Road and Lahainaluna Road on Tuesday, May 12, through Thursday, May 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscape maintenance.
2) LAHAINA
Lane cloure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) in both directions between mile markers 18.6 and 19.9 on Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscape maintenance and road striping work.
3) WAIKAPŪ
Traffic pattern change (detour) on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) in the northbound direction between Kuihelani Highway and Kuikahi Drive on Tuesday, May 19, through Wednesday, May 20, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., for road reconstruction and resurfacing. Southbound traffic will remain on Honoapiʻilani Highway.
— HALEAKALĀ CRATER ROAD (ROUTE 378) —
1) KULA
Closure of one direction at a time of Haleakalā Crater Road (Route 378) between mile markers 0 and 9.5 on Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work. Alternating traffic control (contraflow) of open lane will allow single lane traffic in both directions.
