Submissions Now Open for 2022 Art of Trash and Trashion Show

Mālama Maui Nui is accepting submissions for the 2022 Art of Trash and Trashion Show, a juried event that inspires community members to reimagine resources and create art and fashion using recycle and/or reused material.

Participants can submit multiple pieces for both at MMNui.org/ArtOfTrash. A sample of the submission form and a list of requirements for submission also are posted on the website. 

All pieces must be made from recycled and/or reused material. Natural items, including drift wood, shells and food, are not allowed. The Jurors will be looking for the transformation of material, good craftsmanship and overall creativity. 

If your piece gets selected, it will be featured in The Art of Trash and/or Trashion Show in April 2022. Impressive prizes will be awarded to winners of the Juror’s Choice Awards and Community Choice Awards.
