CPB Foundation, Ace Hardware distribute essential supplies to Maui wildfire survivors
Central Pacific Bank Foundation and Ace Hardware are joining forces to distribute much needed disaster relief and essential cleaning supplies to West Maui residents affected by the Maui wildfires. A distribution will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (while supplies last) in front of the Ace Hardware location at the Lahaina Gateway Center.
“The CPB Foundation is pleased to partner with ACE Hardware Hawaii and the family of HouseMart Stores through a non-profit organization under HouseMart to support the Maui relief efforts by providing critical supplies to help West Maui residents who were impacted by the wildfire,” said Arnold Martines, president and CEO, Central Pacific Bank. “It will be a long road to recovery, but thanks to relief efforts like this, as well as the heartfelt support of so many people, we can all make a difference together to support those who were impacted.”
“On behalf of our HouseMart family business and foundation, we thank Central Pacific Bank Foundation for the generous support for our Lahaina relief efforts and providing essential supplies from our Ace Hardware store,” said Wayne Kamitaki, owner, Ace Hardware Hawaiʻi. “We would also like to express our gratitude to the Maui based employees of Central Pacific Bank who helped us pass out the supplies under the Ace Hardware tent at the Lahaina Gateway Center donation site.”
The first supplies distribution was held on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2023 at the Lahaina Gateway Center, which is also the location of the Central Pacific Bank Lahaina Branch, which reopened to customers with full service on Aug. 28, 2023.
