Maintenance, upgrades will briefly close parts of certain parks in South, Central Maui

County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation announced that maintenance and upgrades will briefly close portions of certain County parks in Central and South Maui in coming weeks. 

  • Kahului: Keōpūolani Regional Park’s Soccer Field 5 parking lot section will be undergoing asphalt work and will be temporarily closed from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. May 28 through May 31. All adjacent facilities will remain open and accessible.
  • Wailea: Ulua-Mōkapu Beach Park’s parking lot will be temporarily closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 and May 17 for tree maintenance and trimming. The park will remain open during this time, and there will be access to the beach and shower area. 
  • Wailea: Keawakapu I Beach Park’s parking lot will be temporarily closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 20 for tree maintenance and trimming. The park will remain open during this time, and there will be access to the beach and shower area.
  • Wailea: Keawakapu II Beach Park’s parking lot will be temporarily closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 21 for tree maintenance and trimming. The park will remain open during this time, and there will be access to the beach and shower area.
