A summer series of DIY Beauty Workshops is giving participants the unique opportunity to create personalized beauty products using Maui’s botanical resources.

The workshops – presented by Maui Farm Events in collaboration with Leiʻohu Cosmetics – will immerse participants in a range of topics from aromatherapy fundamentals to botanical exploration to handmade cosmetics.

The workshops of Leiʻohu Cosmetics are designed to highlight the power of natural ingredients and focus on holistic wellness. Participants will also leave with handcrafted beauty products.

Participants can choose from the following workshops:

  • Saturday, July 20: Maui Gold Pineapple Farm – Guests can experience a refreshing workshop at the Maui Gold Pineapple Farm on Saturday, July 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. In this hands-on session, they can create their own Maui Gold Pineapple Piña Colada Body Scrub and Papaya-Pineapple Face Mask, harnessing the natural exfoliating and nourishing properties of pineapple to leave their skin soft, smooth, and glowing. Alongside crafting these luxurious products, attendees will gain valuable insights into natural skincare. They can enjoy Maui Gold’s signature pineapple water and mango pineapple iced tea, or bring their own bubbly. Also, they will have the opportunity to relax and soak in the panoramic views as private transportation takes them to the event deck. Check-in is at 3:45 p.m. at 883 Hāliʻimaile Road in Makawao. The two-hour experience, priced at $95 per person (with an exclusive 20% kamaʻāina rate), includes all materials, expert instruction, and two full-sized handcrafted skincare products to take home. 
  • Saturday, Aug. 10: Maui Ku’ia Estate Cacao Farm – Patrons will have the opportunity to experience a rejuvenating workshop at the Maui Ku’ia Estate Cacao Farm on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. In this hands-on session, they can create their own Coffee Chocolate Body Scrub and Chocolate Lip Balm with Ku’ia Chocolate, harnessing the antioxidant-rich and nourishing properties of cacao to pamper their skin. Alongside crafting these fabulous products, guests will gain valuable insights into the benefits of natural skincare. They can bring their own bubbly alongside complimentary water, with ice and glasses provided. Attendees can relax and enjoy views of the West Maui Mountains during private transportation to the event site—a treehouse nestled within the Maui Ku’ia Estate Cacao farm. Check-in is at 4:45 p.m. at 78 Ulupono St. in Lahaina. The two-hour experience, priced at $95 per person (with an exclusive 20% kamaʻāina rate), includes all materials, expert instruction, and two full-sized handcrafted skincare products to take home.
  • Saturday, Aug. 24: Lahaina Honey & Flower Farm – Attendees can join a revitalizing workshop with Lahaina Honey Co. on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to create a Raw Beeswax Lip Balm and a Honey & Royal Jelly Sheet Face Mask, discovering the nourishing and antioxidant-rich properties of raw honey to pamper their skin and leave their lips soft and smooth. In addition to gaining valuable insights into the benefits of natural skincare, guests can enjoy panoramic views of West Maui from the gazebo at the Lahaina Honey & Flower Farm during the private transportation to the event site. Guests have the option to bring their own bubbly alongside complimentary water, with ice and glasses provided. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. Check-in begins at 4:45 p.m. at 700 Punakea Loop in Lahaina.
