The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset will host Lahaina Restoration Foundation President David Allaire on Aug. 6 for a talk on post-wildfire recovery efforts.

The free 5:30 p.m. talk at the Aston Paki Maui Resort’s Ali`i meeting room will happen two days before the one-year anniversary of the Lahaina wildfire disaster that destroyed most of Lahaina town and reduced many of its historic buildings to ash or ruins. The resort is located at 3615 Lower Honoapi`ilani Road in Honokowai.

Allaire has been president of the Board of Directors for the Lahaina Restoration Foundation for 16 years. He will discuss the foundation’s post-wildfire building, green space and artifacts recovery efforts.
