Swell Summary

The current short-period south swell will fade into Thursday. Forerunners of a small, longer period south southwest swell should arrive late Thursday and peak Friday into Saturday. This swell will hold through the weekend with surf heights near the summer average before slowly subsiding early next week.

A few small pulses from the northwest and north northwest are expected tonight into Thursday that could keep some small ripples for exposed north facing shores. Nearly flat conditions otherwise. Short- period wind waves generated by the trade winds will gradually decline over the next several days as the trades ease. Small, long- period E swells from increased E Pacific tropical cyclone activity may arrive over the weekend, leading to a subtle increase in surf heights.
