Swell Summary
Long period energy out of the NW quadrant (300 degrees) is propagating toward the islands at press time and is modeled to reach NDBC Buoy 51001 before midnight HST tonight. Moderate surf will quickly manifest along north and west facing exposures late tonight, peaking Wednesday into early Thursday, then gradually fading during the proceeding days. A small, medium period S swell has peaked today and will gradually diminish during the mid-week period. Short period surf along E facing shores remains somewhat small today but will increase as trades strengthen Wednesday through the remainder of the week.

Surf: Stomach to shoulder high NNE short period wind swell in the morning builds in the afternoon with occasional sets up to head high.
Conditions: Choppy/disorganized with NE winds 20-25mph in the morning decreasing to 15-20mph in the afternoon.
SOUTH SHORE

Surf: Small scale (ankle to knee high) surf.
Conditions: Semi clean/textured with NNE winds 25-30mph in the morning decreasing to 20-25mph in the afternoon.
WEST SIDE

Surf: Waist to stomach high NNE short period wind swell with occasional chest high sets.
Conditions: Fairly clean in the morning with NE winds 20-25mph. Clean conditions for the afternoon as the winds lighten to 15-20mph.
