Several prep sports cancellations and postponements due to Tropical Storm Hone

Rainy weather brought rainbows over Maui as Tropical Storm Hone approaches. PC: Wendy Osher

Tropical Storm Hone continues westward toward the Hawaiian Islands and a tropical storm warning is in effect for Hawaiʻi County.

Below is a list of events that have been confirmed by the Hawaiʻi High School Athletic Association as cancelled or postponed for this weekend.

  • Girls Volleyball: Molokaʻi at Seabury (postponed)

Saturday, Aug. 24:

  • Girls Volleyball: Haleakalā Waldorf at Lānaʻi (canceled)
  • Girls Volleyball: Molokaʻi at Seabury (postponed)
  • Football: Maui at Keaʻau (canceled)
  • 8-man Football: Seabury at Hāna (postponed)
  • Football: Pahoa at Kaʻū (postponed)
  • Football: Kohala at Hawaiʻi Prep (postponed)
