Update/Located: Maui police seek help with information on missing visitor

Update:

Krasny was located and found to be in good health.  The Maui Police Department thanked the public for their assistance.

The Maui Police Department asking for the public’s help with any information on the whereabouts of Susan Krasny, 76. Krasny was reported missing on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, by family members after they discovered she left her Wailea hotel room and did not return.  

Krasny was last seen by hotel valet staff around 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 when she picked up their rental vehicle, a silver-colored Nissan Armada bearing Hawaiʻi license plate LLE 180, and left the property.

The vehicle was later seen near 121 Kula Highway, in Pukalani, around 6:30 p.m., heading northbound.

Krasny does not have a cell phone with her and requires the use of a mobility scooter.

Krasny is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 225 pounds, and has blond hair and blue eyes.  She was last seen wearing a white blouse and black Capri pants as depicted in the picture.

Anyone with information on Krasny’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Maui Police Department’s non-emergency number at 808-244-6400. If it is an emergency, dial 911 and refer to MPD report number 24-026289.
