Polynesian Cultural Center to host a free community show in Lahaina, Maui on June 4

To celebrate the Maui community and the arrival of Iosepa, a traditional Hawaiian voyaging canoe, the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) will host a free community show in Lahaina, Maui. The hour-long event on Tuesday, June 4, 2025 will feature vibrant Polynesian music and dance and is open to the public. Activities begin at 7 p.m. at the Lahaina Civic Center. Admission is free.
This performance is part of a larger inter-island cultural voyage by Iosepa, a 57-foot double-hulled canoe built by the Brigham Young University–Hawaiʻi (BYUH) community and launched in 2001 to preserve and teach traditional Polynesian wayfinding. As the canoe docks in Lahaina for several days, the performers will offer this special program to mahalo the local community and uplift spirits through culture and aloha.
The show will highlight dance and song from across Polynesia, including Hawaiʻi, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga and Aotearoa.
