The County of Maui, in partnership with West Maui Construction, has announced a temporary partial closure of Kalepolepo Beach Park to facilitate the installation of a new wastewater force main serving Kīhei Wastewater Pump Station No. 3.

The partial closure is scheduled to begin this week, and is expected to remain in effect through early October 2025.

According to the announcement, the infrastructure improvement project is essential to support the long-term reliability and environmental integrity of Kīhei’s wastewater system.
