“We believe that Kaibigan ng Lahaina is doing critical work for the residents and businesses impacted by the devastating wildfires nearly two years ago,” said Catherine Ngo, CPB Foundation president. “Not only will Lahaina Palengke Night offer a cost-free opportunity for these small businesses, participating nonprofits and governmental organizations will be providing education to help connect attendees with resources addressing multi-faceted areas for recovery and resiliency.”

Lahaina’s Rose Koyama, whose family was impacted by the wildfires, is serving as the CPB Foundation’s volunteer coordinator for Lahaina Palengke Night. “I am honored to help Kaibigan ng Lahaina as it supports my neighbors and helps boost our area small businesses,” she said.

The first Lahaina Palengke Night was held in November 2024. Because of the success of the inaugural event, Kaibigan ng Lahaina said it was determined to put on an even larger 2025 celebration and hopes to hold it annually for the community.
