Lāna‘i High and Elementary School will be closed today, Thursday, Aug. 28, due to an unexpected power outage affecting the campus. The school is unable to provide meal services, according to the state Department of Education.

Crews are working with the utility to restore service. Updates will be provided as soon as possible.
