Maui Food Bank announces leadership transition as Paulson prepares to relocate

Maui Food Bank today announced that CEO Lisa Paulson will transition from her role effective April 15, 2026, as she prepares to relocate to the Washington, D.C. area to pursue opportunities focused on national advocacy.

“Lisa has provided thoughtful and dedicated leadership during an important time for our community,” said Board Chair Marsha Sharpe. “Her commitment to ensuring Maui families have access to food and essential support has strengthened our organization and positioned us well for the future. We are deeply grateful for her service.”

During her tenure, Paulson helped guide Maui Food Bank’s efforts to expand food access, strengthen partnerships and respond to the evolving needs of the community. Her leadership has contributed to the organization’s continued role as a vital resource for individuals and families across Maui County.

“Serving Maui Food Bank and this community has been one of the most meaningful chapters of my career,” said Paulson. “I am incredibly proud of the work we have done together and the impact we have made for our neighbors. As I look ahead to expanding my work in advocacy at the national level, I carry with me the lessons and inspiration from this community.”

The Maui Food Bank Board of Directors will initiate a search for the organization’s next CEO. In the interim, the organization’s current leadership team will step in to support day-to-day operations and ensure continuity of services across Maui County.

Maui Food Bank remains committed to its mission of helping the hungry in Maui County by collecting and distributing food through community partnerships and programs that support those in need.
