In the wake of the recent Kona Low storms, the application deadline for the 2026 Bayer Hawaiʻi Life Sciences Scholarship has been extended to Thursday, April 30, 2026. The original deadline was April 1, 2026.

“Given the damage and widespread disruptions caused by the storms statewide, we wanted to offer some extra time to students who may need it,” said Alan Takemoto, Bayer Hawaiʻi Community Affairs.

High school seniors interested in a life sciences degree are invited to apply. As many as 10 $1,000 scholarships are typically awarded each year. To date, more than $165,000 in scholarships have been granted to Hawaiʻi students through this program.
