County OED Fiscal Year 2027 grant program opens with April 30 deadline to apply

Applications opened Wednesday, April 1, 2026, for the County of Maui Office of Economic Development, Fiscal Year 2027 grant program, which supports projects and events that generate meaningful economic impact, strengthen local industries and enhance the overall well-being of Maui County residents. Deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. April 30, 2026.
OED’s grant program plays a key role in advancing a resilient, kamaʻāina-centered economy by investing directly into the community. It aligns with the County’s broader commitment to building a more resilient and diversified economy, as outlined in Mayor Richard Bissen’s 2026 State of the County Address.
“Grants are one of the most direct ways we can invest in our community,” Mayor Richard Bissen said. “Through this program, we are able to support organizations that are doing critical, on-the-ground work —creating jobs, uplifting local businesses and strengthening the fabric of our community in meaningful and lasting ways.”
OED provides grants for programs, projects and events for a wide range of activities that will provide positive economic impact within Maui County. Grants funds can be awarded to both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
Programs seeking grant funding of $25,000 or more are encouraged to review OED’s FY27 Grant Handbook for detailed guidelines, eligibility requirements and application instructions. To view the handbook, https://mauioed.submittable.com/submit.
