Māʻalaea Bay Included in Small Craft Advisory

A small craft advisory remains in effect for Māʻalaea Bay, the Pailolo Channel between Maui and Molokaʻi, the ʻAlenuihāhā Channel between Hawaiʻi and Maui, and Hawaiʻi Island leeward and windward waters until 6 p.m. on Tuesday Aug. 12, 2013.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory due to strong winds of up to 25 knots and rough seas of 7 to 11 feet.

As a precaution, the NWS advises mariners, especially those who are inexperienced, or those operating smaller vessels, to avoid navigating in these conditions.
