COUNCIL ORGANIZATION FINALIZED
The Maui County Councilmen are set to chair different committees. Joseph Pontanilla of Kahului will continue as the chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. Gladys C. Baisa of Upcountry Maui will chair the Land Use Committee. Michael P. Victorino of Wailuku, Waihe’e, and Waiehu will chair the Water Resources Committee and Bill Kauakea Medeiros of East Maui will chair the Infrastructure Management Committee. Jo Anne Johnson of West Maui, who is in her 5th term, will chair the Economic Development and Recreation Committee. Two former councilmen who are returning to office are Sol. P. Kaho’ohalahala of Lanai, who will chair the Planning Committee and Wayne K. Nishiki of South Maui, who will chair the Public Service Committee.
