This Saturday November 8, consider heading to Makena Beach and Golf Resort where Master Sommelier Patrick Okubo once again hosts their monthly Food & Wine Education Series.

This month features Zinfandels.

The event includes three wines paired with specially prepared dishes. Okubo provides his expertise on the wines and pairings, while Makena Beach & Golf Resort’s Chef De Cuisine Kurt Lesmerises delivers a live cooking demonstration of one of the dishes.

The Zinfandel Experience features three Zinfandel varieties paired with three bold dishes including:

with Salad Nicoise with Seared Tuna – caper berries, purple sweet potato, teardrop tomatoes, Kumu Farm’s green beans, Kalamata olives, farm fresh eggs and crushed garlic Dijon mustard vinaigrette

“Each month we work with Maui beverage suppliers and distinguished sommeliers and mixologists throughout the state to bring fun and inspiring foodie events to Maui residents and visitors, we hope you will join us for our upcoming events this November,” says Director of Food & Beverage, Leo Mallari.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and is held in the resort’s Molokini Bar & Grille. Tickets are $55 per person plus tax and gratuity and reservations are recommended.
