The Mayoral Inauguration Committee today announced that an inauguration celebration will be held Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapū.

The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with musical entertainment by Neal Yamamura and his band, followed by a swearing-in ceremony for the Mayor and his cabinet members at 5 p.m.

The public is invited to attend; however, RSVP is requested by calling 244-6042 or emailing [email protected].  The deadline to RSVP is Friday, Dec. 26, 2014.

Heavy pūpū will be served following the ceremony.

Individuals requesting a sign language interpreter or other special assistance may call 244-6042.

The inauguration will be broadcast live on Akakū, Cable channel 53.
