Conner hopes to use this experience to learn more about the US government, strengthen his leadership skills, and help support his ultimate goal of attending the US Air Force Academy.

The staff and student body of Kīhei Charter School are excited about Conner’s journey.

This will be the first time that one of our students has ventured beyond Maui for this type of experience,” said Kīhei Charter CEO Jen Fordyce. “Kīhei Charter School places a strong emphasis on experiential, project-based education. Conner has completed independent projects exploring topics from how airplanes fly to research and practice in becoming a stronger student leader. We are excited to see all of Conner’s hard work paying off. He is the perfect fit for this program.”
