Although your mama certainly adores the burned toast and overcooked eggs you make her every Mother’s Day morning, maybe this is the year to shake it up with something different?

Mom fed you all those years. Show her you appreciated it with a landslide of food in return.

Held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., enjoy an omelet station, cheese fondue scrambled eggs, bacon, ham and short rib hash with poached eggs and harissa hollandaise.

Those less breakfast food-inclined can look forward to ahi poke, shrimp and crab cocktail martinis and a carving station with sea salt-encrusted aged sirloin, cedar planked salmon and a smoked pork crown roast.

Accompanied by coffee, tea and iced tea, it’s available for $48 per person.

Keiki ages 6-9 are $19.95 and those five years and under eat free.

Meanwhile, the Montage Kapalua Bay’s Mother’s Day brunch is being hosted by Cane and Canoe restaurant.

Highlights include a champagne toast; eggs Benedict station; fresh shrimp, king crab legs and oyster;  and a carving station with peppercorn roasted leg of lamb and hoisin glazed Kurobuta ham.

Brunch is served 12 to 8 p.m. with accompanying live music.

Adults are $75, while children are $25 (7-18 years old) and little ones 6 years and under are complimentary with a paying adult.

The Makena Beach & Golf Resort continues its annual tradition of  celebrating Mom.
Featuring an enhanced Sunday Brunch menu, Makena’s Mother’s Day feast is held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  at their Molokini Bar & Grille.

Designed by Makena’s Chef De Cuisine Kurt Lesmerises, Makena’s Mother’s Day Brunch features five food stations and four “action stations” with made to order selections.

From the breakfast bar, signature varieties include Makena’s special eggs Benedict with toasted cornbread crouton, Canadian bacon and chive hollandaise sauce and French toast soufflé with caramel and apple crepes with Tahitian vanilla bean crème anglaise.

The action and carving stations offer an omelet station, chef bouillabaisse station, Herb prime rib carving station and made-to-order sushi with specialty creations from Makena’s RARE sushi bar.

The seafood bar includes fresh poke, sashimi, shrimp and snow crab legs and there are also gourmet riffs on home cooking and a dessert spread.

Featuring live entertainment, Makena Beach & Golf Resort’s Mother’s Day Brunch is offered at $65 Adult and $35 per child (ages 5-12). Prices do not include tax or gratuity.

Also this Sunday, May 10, Maui Ocean Center’s award-winning Seascape Ma’alaea Restaurant is offering a Mother’s Day buffet from 9 a.m .to 2:30 p.m.

Featuring a salad station, peel-and-eat shrimp and ahi poke, diners can also anticipate breakfast items such as bacon, sausage and eggs.

Entrees include pistachio-crusted rolled pork tenderloin, herb and garlic mahi mahi, roasted herb sirloin and more.

Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling (808) 270-7068.  Admission is not required to dine in the restaurant; restaurant-only entry is located on the Ma’alaea Harbor Shops side of the Aquarium.

At The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, mothers are celebrated in style at the resort’s Relish Oceanside restaurant bar.

In addition to the a-la carte menu, three entrée specials with optional wine pairings will be served on Sunday evening from 5 to 10 p.m..

The  Blue Crab and Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi includes mahi mahi steak served with Polynesian friend rice, schimi spiced asparagus and sake kobayaki cream, while the Ginger Pesto Opah includes yellow curry steamed quinoa, rice farms organic kale, roasted almonds, dried cranberries and charred Meyer lemon vinaigrette.

Last but not least, Pulehu Beef Tenderloin  includes house-crafted smoked salt rubbed tenderloin, brown butter whipped yukon gold potato puree, heirloom carrot and anuhea asparagus sauté, garlic soy butter sauce.

Meanwhile, the Relish Burger Bistro’s buffet breakfast spread is enhanced to include Baked Brown Sugar and Mustard Glazed Ham with orange and lilikoi marmalade, salad selections such as Orzo Salad with spring peas and prosciutto, Cheese Blintz with sweet cream cheese filling, House Smoked Salmon with red onion jam, Omelet Station, Belgian Waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, Biscuits & Sausage Gravy, Sliced Deli Meats and fresh fruit.

Priced at $29.95+tax per adult and $14.50+tax per child (ages 4 to 12), the buffet is available Sunday morning from 6:30 am to Noon.
