Raiatea Helm to Perform July 15 at Wailea Le‘a

The Shops at Wailea will present Raiatea Helm, one of Hawai‘i’s premier female vocalists, at Wailea Le‘a on Wednesday, July 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the fountain courtyard.

Her musical talents have recently gained her recognition in the national music scene with her Grammy Nomination.

Her debut recording, Far Away Heaven, earned her the prestigious “Female Vocalist of the Year Award” and “Most Promising Artist Award” from the 2003 Hawai‘i Academy of Recording Artists.

In 2005, she received the coveted “Favorite Entertainer of the Year Award” from HARA for her second CD, Sweet and Lovely.

Helm’s virtuoso recordings and performances have launched her onto the international music scene with extensive concert appearances throughout Asia. She has also appeared at venues from New York City to San Francisco. Her talents flourish across all age groups and stretch across geographical boundaries as she collaborates with legends in the Hawaiian music industry–The Brothers Cazimero, The Makaha Sons, Keali‘i Reichel, Ho‘okena, Auntie Genoa Keawe and Ledward Ka‘apana.

Wailea Le‘a guests will also enjoy complimentary menu samplings from the center’s restaurants and eateries–Longhi’s, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Lappert’s Ice Cream, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Fustini’s Oils and Vinegars and Honolulu Cookie Company.

A special five-hour parking validation is available for this event for $1 or a non-perishable food item. Proceeds go to the Maui Food Bank. The Diamond Parking table will be set up at the fountain courtyard from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
