By Maui Now Staff
The Moloka‘i Occupational Center will hold its 5th Annual Moloka‘i Disability Resource Fair on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Moloka‘i Community Health Center located at the old Pau Hana Inn in Kaunakakai.
The theme this year is “Help, Hope and Happiness.”
The Moloka‘i Occupational Center provides opportunities for individuals with a disability to be actively involved in determining how and where they live, learn, work and play. The event provides the community with information and resources available for the individuals, family, friends, care providers and businesses interested in employing individuals with a disability.
This year, MOC has teamed up with co-host Aloha Independent Living Hawai‘i, a new organization providing services to the disabled.
In addition, The Hawai‘i Civil Rights Commission, Learning Disabilities Association of Hawai‘i, Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP Hawai‘i), Hawai‘i Disability Rights, the Caregiver Foundation, and the Department of Prosecuting Attorney Victim Witness Division are some of the participants this year.
Refreshments will be provided.
This event is made available with the support and sponsorship of Monsanto.
