Meteorologist Malika Dudley paid a visit to the National Weather Service offices on Oahu this week.
She interviewed Warning Coordination Meteorologist, Chris Brenchley, for an update on the record heat we’ve been experiencing this summer.
Chris and Malika talk about why your area might not get recognized as having a record heat day when indeed a record may have been broken. They discuss why you shouldn’t trust the thermometer on your car and provided statistics for this summer’s record heat.
Indeed, there have been 16 days of record highs this summer from June through August.
