Looking Ahead
Light to moderate trades are expected over the state into early next week. An increase in showers is possible over the islands over the holiday weekend will weaken the trade winds and allow sea breezes to produce afternoon clouds and showers through early next week. A front may move over the islands by the middle of next week with cool north winds behind it.
Tropical Depression 18-E has formed in the Eastern Pacific. So far, models are showing it veering to the north before it gets into our immediate vicinity.

Today we expect partly sunny skies in Maui County with just a few scattered showers for windward spots. High temperatures from 83° to 88°. Northeast winds are expected around 15 mph.
