MNHCoC Saimin & Bao Networker, Open Mic
A “make your own saimin bar” will be featured at the next Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce Business Talk Story at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapū.
Caterer Hoaplili Ane will offer up an array of saimin toppings including char siu, wonton, roast pork, shrimp, fish cake and an array of fresh Maui-grown vegetables. Guests will also enjoy a selection of Chinese bao (manapua) to ring in a new year of new business opportunities.
“With the cooler nights of January, everyone can warm up with a hot bowl of saimin, some networking and talk story,” said MNHCoC President Doreen Pua Canto. “We always have a lot of fun at our Open Mic nights, so it’s a happy way for us to launch 2016.”
During the Open Mic session, MNHCoC members may promote their businesses, urge support for local nonprofit causes and events, or even tell a joke or two.
Prepaid admission is $20 for members and $25 for non-members who pay online in advance.
Advance payment may be made online through PayPal. Members who prefer to pay at the door will be charged $25 or $30 for non-members. To reserve your spot, go online or call (808) 633-3079 by Sunday, Jan. 10.
MNHCoC’s mission is “to promote and sustain Hawaiian values and culture, and enhance the socio-economic status of Native Hawaiians in business and as individuals.” Membership is open to anyone with an interest in perpetuating the spirit of aloha through commerce, culture and community. The Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce welcomes Hawaiians and Hawaiians at heart to share in their mission.
