Join the Parade ‘For the Love of Whales’

The annual Parade of Whales, South Maui’s only hometown parade and the official kick-off to World Whale Day, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13 from 9 to 10 a.m. along South Kīhei Road in Kīhei.
The parade features participants of all ages and includes floats, marching bands, costumed characters, decorated vehicles and fun performances.
There is no cost to enter and prizes will be awarded in multiple categories.

Parade participants must submit an application by Jan. 22 to be in the Parade of Whales. Additional information will be sent once your entry form is received.
All participants will be acknowledged on mauiwhalefestival.org.
The parade helps to raise awareness about the endangered North Pacific humpback whale.Pacific Whale Foundation’s conservation efforts over the past 36 years have helped boost the humpback whale population up from an estimated 1,400 to over 20,000.
These beloved and majestic mammals need our continued protection, and your support makes a tremendous contribution to saving the whales and their ocean habitat.
