Looking Ahead

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

Winds will weaken and veer to the southeast Monday with light south winds then prevailing through the rest of the week. Clouds and showers will favor windward areas through early Monday, with increased chances for leeward and interior clouds and showers from Monday afternoon through Friday. Some of these showers could become heavy, with a slight chance of thunderstorms Tuesday, as moisture increases and the atmosphere becomes unstable. Light winds will continue into next weekend, when a somewhat drier weather pattern may develop.

Today

Today we expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers for windward and mauka spots in the morning. Leeward spots are expected to be partly sunny in the morning with building cloud cover and the possibility of afternoon scattered showers after the sea breeze develops. Humidity will be on the rise. Variable winds are forecast from 5 to 15 mph. High temperatures from 81° to 86°.
