Elton John Performs “Greatest Hits” on Maui: Feb 25 2011

Entertainer extraordinaire, Elton John will perform on Maui to celebrate a new beginning at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, with the opening of the new Yokouchi Pavilion. The Maui-only event takes place February 25, 2011 at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.
The “Greatest Hits Live” concert features number one chart hits and classic album tracks from Elton John’s career that spans five-decades.
“Elton John is an icon in the music industry and his music has stayed classic throughout the decades,” said Art Vento, President & CEO of the MACC. “The Maui Arts & Cultural Center is ecstatic to have Elton John perform in the new Yokouchi Pavilion. It is an honor to add the MACC to the list of venues in which Elton John has performed during his incredible career. Friday, February 25th will be an exciting day for music lovers and MACC supporters,” said Vento.
Tickets go on sale to MACC members from Tuesday January 11 at 10 a.m. to Friday, January 14 at noon. Beginning Tuesday at 10 am, members can purchase tickets in person at the Box Office, charge by phone at 808-242-SHOW or online at MauiArts.org.
Sale to the general public begins January 15th. Tickets prices range from $77 for general admission to $252 for reserve seating (plus applicable fees). There’s also tickets going for $97 and $152.
The concert begins at 7 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Yokouchi Pavilion and A&B Amphitheater.

Elton John’s band includes Davey Johnstone on guitar, Bob Birch on bass, John Mahon on percussion, Nigel Olsson on drums, and Kim Bullard on keyboards. Favorites include “Your Song”, “Daniel”, “Rocket Man”, “Bennie and the Jets” and many more including selections from Elton and Leon Russell’s album, The UNION.
Elton John is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time. Since his career began in 1969 he has played almost 3,000 concerts worldwide and sold more than 250 million records worldwide.
