South: Surf is waist/shoulder high today with head high waves at the best breaks on the sets.

Some northwest shifting energy is expected for the weekend around chest high to overhead. The best breaks could even get up to double overhead on the sets. Short period north swell expected Monday and Tuesday.

Our current south-southwest swell is expected to hold into the weekend with waist/shoulder high surf expected. The best breaks could get bigger. This swell is expected to fade next week. Only minor pulses detected further out.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
