A Small Craft Advisory is posted from 6 a.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday for northeast to east winds from 20 to 25 knots.

Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be around knee/waist/chest high for spots catching the trade swell & Blas/Celia generated mix.
West: Surf is waist/shoulder high today with breaks blocked by other islands in the ankle/waist high range. The best breaks could get up to head high.
South: Surf is waist/shoulder high today. The best breaks could get up to head high on the sets.
Our current south-southwest swell is forecast to peak Friday and hold through the weekend.
Quiet in the North Pacific at this time.
East swell from tropical system Celia will generate more swell. East swell is expected to build Friday into Saturday, peak late Saturday and hold through Sunday. Darby is also likely to generate swell for us the second half of next week around the 21st. Will keep an eye on the development and bring you details as they become clearer.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
