Looking Ahead
What’s left of Celia will move past the islands to the north through early Tuesday morning. Winds will turn southeasterly across the state after this low passes. The tropical airmass associated with Celia will keep muggy conditions going and help fuel locally heavy showers through late Tuesday. Breezy trade winds should return Tuesday night and Wednesday, bringing brief windward showers through Friday. Moisture from weakening Tropical Cyclone Darby could potentially bring increased rainfall across parts of the island chain this weekend.
Today
Partly to mostly cloudy skies with showers likely for windward spots. Scattered showers for leeward areas. High temperatures from 85° to 90° and feeling warmer than that due to the muggy conditions. Winds will be out of the southeast around 15 mph.
UV index at 13 (“extreme” exposure level)
Tonight
Southeast winds are expected around 15 mph tonight. Mostly cloudy with scattered showers in leeward spots and showers likely in windward areas. Low temperatures from 72° to 77°.
