Q: With all the road repaving going on Maui (good job!), there are still some very bad spots on certain areas on South Kīhei Road, with many potholes filled in over and over. When are these bad spots going to be paved over? Thank you.

A: Good news—two major sections of South Kīhei Road are scheduled to be resurfaced soon. 2017: Līpoa Street to Kauha‘a Street; and 2018: Kauha‘a Street to Kulanihakoi Street.

The 2017 phase was recently bid out and awarded to a contractor, so the project is slated to move forward as scheduled.
