Country superstar Eric Church comes to Maui for his first ever concert along with several friends, including Lee Ann Womack, Lukas Nelson, Robert Earl Keen, Shawn Camp, Liz Rose, and Charlie Worsham.

Eric Church & Friends performs tonight (Dec. 2, 2016) as part of the 2nd annual BMI Maui Songwriters Festival, at 6:30 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.) at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center A&B Amphitheater.

The acoustic performance will be filled with songs and stories similar to shows with capacity crowds at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheater and Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater.

Three-time Country Music Association and five-time Academy of Country Music Award-winner, Eric Church, released Mr. Misunderstood in 2015 with no prior announcement.  Members of his fan club were surprised to get physical copies of the album mailed to them for free.

Called “a love letter to his influences” by The New York Times and “the best album of his career” by The Guardian, Mr. Misunderstood made year-end “best-of” lists from Rolling Stone, Washington Post, Entertainment Weekly, and more.

Mr. Misunderstood recently won the 2016 CMA Album of the Year award. Eric Church was named country music’s top-selling artist in 2014, when his album “The Outsiders” sold more than one million copies.

Debuting at #1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and Top Country Albums chart, “The Outsiders” garnered GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM Album of the Year nominations.
