UHMC Event Features Many Talented Maui Chefs
The Bahay Kubo Heritage Foundation is hosting a benefit event that will highlight over a dozen of Maui’s best chefs at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College’s Paʻina Food Court on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m.
All proceeds from the night will go towards the restoration of the Bahay Kubo at Kepaniwai Cultural Heritage Park in ʻĪao Valley, and scholarships to select Culinary Art students, and to support the UHMC Kabatak Club.
The night will feature music and food but also culture and education to promote and support Filipino culture and the arts, as well as to promote education of the history of the Filipino-American community on Maui.
