The Mill House will host an all-day benefit for hurricane victims in the south on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.

Throughout the day, Mill House Restaurant, Bar, and Roasting Café will donate 15% of its total sales to Direct Relief, an agency aiding victims of Hurricane Irma and José.

The Mill House said their hearts go out to those left in the hurricane’s wreckage. “Recently we worked with some incredible Chefs from this area, Kenny Gilbert of Florida and Travis Grimes of South Carolina. These two brought their Southern hospitality to our kitchen during the Maui Chefs Invitational and now we are sending some Aloha back,” workers with Mill House said.

The restaurant will feature two dishes created by Chef Gilbert and Grimes on Friday with 100% of the proceeds from those dishes going to Direct Relief. Chef Grimes’ dish will be Southern Fried Chicken Skins with Pemento Cheese and Chef Gilbert’s dish will be Coconut-Ginger Biscuits and Fried Chicken.

“These Chefs became part of our Ohana,” Mill House representatives said. “During the time they were here they taught our kitchen a thing or two and this Friday we are offering their creations up and 100% of the proceeds from these dishes will go to Direct Relief.”

The Mill House Roasting Coffee Café is also open for coffee and pastries, the restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with Happy Hour from 3 to 5 p.m.
