“The BFG,” directed by Steven Spielberg, is a 2016 American fantasy adventure film based on the 1982 novel by Roald Dahl. In the film, ten-year-old orphan, Sophie, befriends a benevolent big friendly giant and is in for the adventure of a lifetime. Naturally scared at first, the young girl soon realizes that the 24-foot behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming. As their friendship grows, Sophie’s presence attracts the unwanted attention of Bloodbottler, Fleshlumpeater, and other giants as they travel to Giant Country. Sophie and the BFG must convince Queen Victoria to help them stop all the bad giants invading the human world once and for all.
