Looking Ahead
A strong high pressure system northwest of the Hawaiian Islands and a low pressure trough to the southeast will produce breezy to locally windy trade winds today. An upper level low will enhance showers mainly over windward and mountain areas through tonight. A more stable trade wind flow will move in from the east later tonight as the upper low drifts westward, with shower activity trending downward by Sunday morning. Hurricane Hector remains too far away from the Hawaiian Islands to forecast precise local area weather impacts at this time.
