Keōpūolani Park will be closed July 18-19 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for cleanup work and to address health and safety concerns, county officials said.
The announcement was made this morning by the County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation.
Work will include park maintenance and repairs, removal of debris, cleaning vegetation and identifying potential fire safety hazards.
“The entire park will be closed for the safety of all users,” Parks officials said in a Department press release.
All other Central Maui County parks will be open with regularly scheduled hours.
