Update: 12.14.19 11:12 a.m.: The park has reopened for public use as surf has subsided, the county announced today.

The public is being asked to stay away from areas of excessive sand that have been cordoned off.

Update: 12.13.19 10:08 a.m.: The park remains closed due to flooding from high surf. It is unclear when the park will reopen.

Baldwin Beach Park is closed until further notice due to flooding from high surf, the county announced today.

Officials say the park may remain closed on Friday depending on results of early morning assessments.

The park will reopen once the area is cleared and deemed safe for the public.
