Maui Crime Jan. 12-Jan. 18: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 9 burglaries, 11 vehicle thefts and 9 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Jan. 12, 2019 to Jan. 18, 2020.

Burglaries were down 18 percent from the week before when 15 incidents were reported over a seven day period. Vehicle thefts decreased 48 percent from the week before when 21 incidents were reported; and vehicle break-ins were up 13 percent from the previous week, when 8 incidents were reported.

9 Burglaries

Haʻikū: 

  • Wednesday, Jan. 15, 7:53 a.m.: 810 Haʻikū Rd., Haʻikū at Da Smoke Shop. Non-residential, forced entry.
  • Saturday, Jan. 18, 5:39 a.m.: 300 Block of Hahana Road., Haʻikū. Residential, unlawful entry.
  • Saturday, Jan. 18, 5:02 p.m.: 1-100 Block of Kaupakalua Rd., Haʻikū. Residential, forced entry.

Kahului: 

  • Tuesday, Jan. 14, 5:44 p.m.: 600 Block of Komo Place, Kahului. Residential, unlawful entry.

  • Monday, Jan. 13, 3:55 p.m.: 4000 Wailea Alanui, Kīhei. Non-residential, unlawful entry.

  • Friday, Jan. 17, 3:27 p.m.: 1-100 Block of N Kukui Place, Kīhei. Residential, attempted entry.

Kula:
