In response to concerns over the spread of the coronavirus, organizers of the Imua Family Services Annual Gala fundraiser announced the event will now take place on Aug. 29.
“Imua Family Services is no stranger to taking steps to protect the most vulnerable in our community. The services that our agency provides to children with special needs in our community make us acutely sensitive to the importance of taking action. And while we must announce the postponement of our most critical annual fundraiser, we do so with the hope of reuniting with you all in celebration after having weathered this storm. We extend our gratitude to those of you who had already contributed to making this a sold out event. Through the generous support of the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, we can announce that any tickets, tables, and sponsorships booked for the event have now been transferred to our new date – Saturday, August 29, 2020. Our guest performers, celebrity entertainers and local talent are committed to giving you a unique and vibrant celebration of life,” the organization wrote in an announcement.
Event organizers say table sponsorships, ticket purchases, and event participation will all be honored on the new date.
