MOLOKAI TESTING POSTPONED:
Testing on Molokaʻi today was canceled due to inclement weather. The testing is rescheduled for Thursday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mitchell Pauʻole Community Center. All traffic MUST enter Ailoa Street via Kamehameha V Highway, between Kaunakakai Baptist Church and Kaunakakai School.
Dr. Scott Miscovich of Premier Medical Group is hopeful his team can continue COVID-19 testing on Molokai on Thursday, April 16.
1,000 MASKS DELIVERED TO MOLOKAI HEALTHCARE WORKERS & FIRST RESPONDERS
Although the testing was postponed, Mayor Michael Victorino provided 1,000 facemasks to Molokaʻi healthcare workers and first responders. Five hundred masks were delivered to Molokaʻi General Hospital, 250 masks were delivered to police officers and 250 masks were delivered to American Medical Response.
“These masks are important to safeguard our frontline healthcare and first responder heroes,” Mayor Michael Victorino said. “I’m hopeful that Dr. Scott Miscovich and his team can return to Molokaʻi later this week and provide further assistance through testing.”
Previously, Miscovich’s team administered drive-through testing for about 400 Molokaʻi residents on April 7.
LAHAINA TESTING SET FOR WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15
On Wednesday, April 15, 2020, testing will take place in West Maui at a drive through site located on the Honoapiʻilani Highway by Launiupoko. The first hour between 9 and 10 a.m. is for first responders and health care workers only. Starting at 10 a.m., testing is open to the general public.
LAHAINA FOOD DISTRIBUTION PLANNED FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 16
Food Distribution is planned on Thursday, April 16 in West Maui at the same location as the drive through testing from the day before–on the Honoapiilani Highway in Launiupoko.
